Whew! Done at last...
Thank goodness! I finished it on time. First there was the petticoat/pantaloons, hat, and purse:

And then there was the butterfly wings. I wanted her to be a butterfly fairy bed doll, but wasn't sure how to go about the wings. I ended up taking floral wire, forming it into the shape I wanted, and then covering the jagged edges with floral tape. Then I single crochet along the outside of the wire ending up with what basically looked like this:

You can see on the inside frame how I did some rudimentary tatting to form a net-like effect. This is the finished front side of the wings.

I then took a pin-back and glued it to the wrong side of the wings with some E6000 glue. This makes it removable when the dress has to be washed. Also I glued the shoes on so that a 6 year-old will find it a little harder to lose. ;) This is the backside of the pin.

I haven't taken a picture yet with the wings pinned on, but I think I'll add that tomorrow. I would have posted this sooner, but my sciatica has been killing me and I wasn't up to the excitement of taking pictures. Sorry!
Anyway here are some pictures of the final product:

I also had to add the faux butterflies made with ribbons and roses:

Thank goodness I made my Christmas deadline!
